Corporate events have multitudes of things to consider. As an event planner, it’s critical to keep track of your event progress and development. The following is a checklist to help you identify all of the details to consider for your next event.

Why are you holding an event? You want to m
ake certain there is a clear reason — a fundraising event with a clear financial goal behind it, a new product launch to share with customers — without a defined objective, your event will be a costly effort without the power to attract attendees or further yo
ur mission.

Budget management is essential for a successful corporate event. It will help you think and plan ahead, re-think and adjust your plan
s. It also helps you prepare for any unforeseen mishaps.

Identify your budget, number of attendees and the type of event (formal, high-tech, etc.) to help identify the appropriate venue.
To ensure you have the venue and date you want, book the venue 6 months in advance to have it set in stone.

Is there on-site signage at your event? Keep in mind not every venue has signage to announce or showcase your event. Ensure you have the necessary signage to promote your event or client.

Is food provided at the venue or do you have to get it catered? How much? Appetizers or full meal? The answers to these questions is often dictated by two things — the number of people you are inviting and your budget.

____Décor, Lighting, Flowers, Staging

Last, but perhaps most typically forgotten is the actual look and feel of your event. You’ve got your performances, audio/visual, photographer, event venue and more – but have you remembered the actual look and feel you want to present your event with?
